  • International Sunday Review

In June we had a fabulous International Celebration together as a church. Hillingdon is one of the most diverse communities in the UK- the last census showed it to have more languages spoken in the borough than any other place in London or the UK.

I am thrilled that Crown reflects the borough’s diversity in this way. On any given Sunday we will have on average between 40 and 50 different nationalities represented among us. Recently we have welcomed new people from new nations such as Estonia, Taiwan and Cameroon.

The bible gives us a compelling vision of the Church as one body made up of every tribe, tongue and nation worshipping Jesus. Every time we gather together in this way we get a wonderful foretaste of this. A little bit of heaven on earth. Let’s continue to enjoy this wonderful part of our identity as a church.
