Great news! You can now bring your Foodbank Donations, any non-perishable items, with you on Sundays or drop them off at the Living Room mid week.

From my experience at Foodbank over the last couple of months I have had a realisation of the need for Foodbank in this community. Seeing mothers come in with children… desperate fathers coming in despite their pride, this is when I began to realise we have a crisis on our very doorstep. In 2018 Foodbank reached its highest rate on record. It is hard to know that there are people in great need of the very basic essentials in life.

The facts can be heart wrenching, unfortunately this is the reality. As Christians we are called to do more than just sympathise with the needy, we are called to help ‘The generous themselves will be blessed for they share their food with the poor’ Proverbs 22:9.

But you might be thinking: How can I help? Well, Crown is now going to have a donation basket at both Sunday services. If mid week is more convenient, then please do drop off any items for the Foodbank at the Living Room (office hours 9-5). It takes so little to make a difference, all you have to do is buy a few extra bits on your next shop and it will provide food for those in need.
