  • Sinigang

    Sinigang is a sour soup native to the Philippines. This recipe uses pork as the main ingredient.
    Other proteins and seafood can also be used. Beef, shrimp, fish are commonly used to cook Sinigang.

    2 onions
    3-4 cloves garlic
    3 tins tomatoes
    3 teaspoons of sugar
    2 large bunches of spring greens


    Chop then Fry onions and garlic till soft.

    Cut belly pork to small strips and fry until brown with onions and garlic.

    Add 3 tins of chopped tomatoes.

    Add 4 stock cubes (in cup of hot water ).

    Add the juice of 3 lemons and 3 teaspoons brown sugar. 

    Then add 2 large bunches of spring greens thinly sliced. Simmer 25 mins add salt and pepper to taste.

    Serve with Rice.
