On the 7th of June we will join together to celebrate this and worship Him.

The livestream service will include celebratory sung worship, a multilingual song recorded by Crown members, prayer for different nations, a message from Andy McCullough and a showcase of kids artwork.

We will also be taking a special offering to support churches in three nations that have been hit particularly hard by COVID-19.

Any gift made over the weekend of the 6th and 7th June to the Covid Hardship Fund will be distributed to three nations the following week. We will also be contributing £2,000 of funds already given into the fund.

Here’s some info on the three nations we’ll be giving to, please pray for these and other nations and ask God how much you can give on the 7th.

    ZIMBABWE
Scott Marques and the Newfrontiers ‘DNA’ family of churches have reported that the earning capacity of many has completely evaporated, earning less than $1 (USD) a day and without savings. These people are drinking tea for breakfast and lunch and eating a starch with some greens for supper. They call this the 0.0.1 meal plan. It is extreme in both urban high-density and rural settings. Scott and his team are putting together and distributing packs of food which will enable families in DNA churches to survive for a month at the cost of $25 (USD) and they have identified 560 families in urban churches and 450 families in rural churches. These packs would be delivered with the permission of the government, by local elders at a total cost of around $25,000(USD).

    INDIA
There has been lots in the news about the challenges faced by some 42 million migrant workers in India, and the dense populations in urban slums that make standard social distancing measures impossible and opportunities for the virus to spread on a terrible scale. Through the Newfrontiers ‘Commission’ network of churches we can give to those who can deliver relief directly to the point of need. The India churches have already rallied to support 10,000 lives in the last month, however the needs are only unfolding in their magnitude, and the rehabilitation after this crisis will also take much resourcing.

    KENYA
In some places where Newfrontiers churches (looked after by Edward Buria) are located there are many vulnerable to starvation due to Government restrictions on movement to limit the spread of the virus. The relief work includes giving out small transfer of cash to families deep in the rural areas whom pastors cannot reach. Support is also being given to owners of food stores to help with the supply of food. The need of the emergency response remains very high priority even before Recover and Rebuilding phases begin.
