Welcome to the website of The Crown Church

The Crown Church is a growing vibrant and diverse church that gathers people from across the London Borough of Hillingdon and beyond.
We are passionate about Jesus and sharing His good news with others.

We meet together every Sunday, 10am at Bishopshalt School, Royal Lane, Uxbridge UB8 3RF (by Hillingdon Hospital, Middlesex). Find us...
You are most welcome to join us!

About Us - Overview

The Crown Church was launched on Easter Sunday 2002, and was initially made up of about 20 people from Kings Church Harrow who lived in the Borough of Hillingdon. Just before this, Pete Cornford moved up with his family from the Beacon Church in Camberley to lead the church.

The church has grown quickly with currently around 200 people gathering on a Sunday morning. We are made up of young and older people who are from many different backgrounds and countries.

We are registered as a charitable company (Charity No. 1095028), and are part of a family of churches called Newfrontiers and members of the Willow Creek Association and the Evangelical Alliance.

About Us - Our Vision

We believe God is real and active in the world, and that we can have a personal relationship with him through Jesus Christ. We want people to grow in this relationship and so meet on Sundays and during the week in small groups throughout Hillingdon Borough and beyond, and our vision is to serve the people living here.

We will be a church that:

About Us - Giving

All our worship is a response to God. This includes our financial giving which comes from a heart of gratitude and faith.

God owes us nothing – yet He has given us everything we have out of sheer kindness, including His own Son.

When we give gladly and sacrificially to the local church we are rightly using the resources He has entrusted to us: serving the advance of His gospel in West London and beyond.

We can be confident that He knows about our needs and will provide for us as a loving Father (Matthew 6.33; Philippians 4.19).

We want to invite you to join us in the true joy of generosity, thus becoming imitators of the giving God (2 Corinthians 9.6-11).

How to give?

Thanks so much for your support in this area.

Middle East Church Plant

The Crown Church is sending a Newfrontiers church planting team to a city in the Middle East in summer 2009.

It is important for us as a family of churches to plant new churches in this key city in order to reach out to that great nation, where so few proportionately to the population have a knowledge of Jesus.”
David Devenish, Newfrontiers

If you would like to get involved, be added to the mailing list, or just connect with the team, please email office@crown-church.org.uk or phone 01895 233466.

What's Happening - Cell Groups

We meet during the week in small groups called ‘cells' across the Borough of Hillingdon and beyond.

These groups are open to everyone, and we believe they are an integral part of church life – where we develop relationships, get to know God better and impact the communities in which we live.

Our desire is to see these groups grow and multiply – currently we have 20 groups across the Borough including:

What's Happening - Students & 20's

‘In View' is the Students and Twenties group at the Crown. We have over 50 students and twenties from both Brunel University and London School of Theology.

In View's vision is based around the following verses:

Romans 12:1
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, IN VIEW of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices , holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.”

Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.”

We are aiming to be Students who are living their lives for God and being an example to those around them, so that we might honour him and bring glory to his name.

What's Happening - Youth

WORD ON THE STREET…
Our Youth ministry is a growing and evolving area, and currently we offer the following groups for our young people:

CGI (Cephas Generation Inc) is our Sunday morning group for young people in school years 7-9 (aged 12-14). We meet every Sunday morning during the school terms at The Crown Church. We gather to learn more about God, our relationship with Him and how to actively live out faith in our communities.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." (1 Peter 2:9).

Word on the Street - We meet every Friday during term-time at the YMCA Young People's centre (aka The Tumbler) in Hayes (72 Station Rd, Hayes, UB3 4DQ) from 7.30 - 9.30pm. Here we offer free ice-cream milkshakes, PS2, pool and table football. We gather to have fun, socialise but specifically to take God to the streets of Hayes to show young people that God loves them and died for them. Word on the Street is for young people aged between 12 and 24.

Youth Cell - This is a weekly cell group for both guys and girls in school years 10 - 13 (aged 15-18). Here we gather for fun and to apply God's Word to our lives. We also spend time worshipping and seeking how to take the good news to the lost through prayer and the organisation of social events we can invite our friends to.

In addition to the youth cell we also meeting on monthly basis as guys and as girls in our Boys Discipleship Group and Girls Discipleship Group. These are a monthly bible study group for guys and girls in school years 10 - 13 (aged 15-18), where we gather together to learn from the Word, encourage one another and to keep each other accountable.
